Who am I?

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I hold a B.A. in Religion and Classics from the University of Rochester, Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina. Additional educational details are available on my CV.

 

Major publications include my work of Heaven's Gate and other UFO religions, new religious movements more broadly, and various forms of religion and culture (food, television, clothing).
